I love PLR! If you aren’t familiar with PLR, it stands for ‘Private Label Rights’. This is content you can purchase and own the rights to, meaning that you can use it for just about anything you can think of. I will share with you how I have used private label rights content to build an online business.
Typically I purchase PLR to use as Special Reports to both sell online and to give away to my list. I also use this content as my free giveaways each time I set up a new site. In fact, when you sign up here with your first name and email address, the report you will receive is a private label rights report I purchased and made some small changes to in order to give it my own spin and share more about this topic from my own perspective.
It was in 2007 that I first learned that I could purchase content written by others and use it for a variety of purposes. The one thing I need to share, and you will hear me talk about this regularly, is that you may not use PLR as articles to submit to the article directories. They require you to submit original writing as part of their TOS (terms of service). Other than that, you can do what I’ve done over the past four years and use private label content for reports, eBooks, video, PowerPoint presentations, book on Kindle and Amazon, and much, much more.
